Tasting Note
Concentrated black cherry and blackberry, violet florals, cocoa and orange peel; cedar and spice from oak; full-bodied with firm ripe tannins, bright acidity and a long mineral finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, aged Manchego, chorizo. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), Peking duck, char siu, Sichuan-style beef.

Production Method
Hand-harvested Tempranillo; parcel fermentations in oak vats and stainless steel; malolactic in barrel; aged 12–14 months in French oak (significant new oak) with portions in concrete and large foudres; further bottle ageing before release.

Vineyard Info
Alión, established by the Álvarez family as part of the Vega Sicilia group in the early 1990s, works ~130 ha across top Ribera del Duero sites (avg. altitude ~750m), focusing on low yields and modern, terroir-driven Tempranillo.
