Tasting Note
Intense ruby with garnet hues. Aromas of black cherry, plum, blackberry jam, licorice, vanilla and dried violet; full-bodied, concentrated dark fruit, fine spicy oak, refined tannins and a very long, persistent finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roasted red meats, braised wild boar/venison, beef stews, aged Pecorino and other hard cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (galbi/bulgogi), Sichuan-style spicy beef, teriyaki or char siu pork, Peking duck.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; controlled fermentation (28–32°C); maceration ~16–18 days with delestage; aged 18–24 months in French oak barriques and bottle-aged 12–14 months.
Vineyard Info
Cantine Argiolas, family estate based near Serdiana/Selegas in Sardinia (est. 1937). Turriga was developed with consultant Giacomo Tachis as the estate flagship.
