Tasting Note
Concentrated black cherry, cassis and blackberry with violet, graphite and dark chocolate; velvety, refined powdery tannins, chalky minerality and a long saline finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, braised short rib, beef Wellington, mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Chinese red-braised beef, mushroom hot-pot (shabu-shabu).
Production Method
Hand-harvested, intra-parcel vinification with gentle maceration; fermented in stainless/concrete; aged 18–20 months in a mix of new and used French oak barrels. Harvest Sept–Oct; yields ~45 hl/ha.

Small family estate (since 1847), ~6.8 ha on limestone-clay soils; classified Premier Grand Cru Classé B; Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse became proprietor/manager in 2021.
