Tasting Note
Deep garnet with layered blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, violets, graphite and wild herbs; savory forest-floor, cedar and mineral notes. Full-bodied, concentrated, with firm, fine tannins and a long, mineral-driven finish.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, venison, aged hard cheeses (Comté, aged Gouda). Asian: Korean BBQ (galbi), Peking duck, Sichuan-style beef or black pepper beef, char siu/roast pork.
Production Method
Small-lot fermentations, matured ~18–22 months in 100% new French oak barrels; minimal fining and typically bottled unfined/unfiltered.
Vineyard Info
BOND Estates, founded by Bill Harlan (late 1990s), produces five single-vineyard Cabernet bottlings. Vecina is sourced from an 11-acre east-facing terraced site (Vine Hill Ranch) with volcanic/alluvial soils.
