Tasting Note

Blackcurrant, blackberry and plum with cedar, tobacco, graphite and violet notes. Medium‑full body, velvety fine tannins, bright acidity and a long, mineral-tinged finish. Balanced, structured and ageworthy.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, duck confit, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), braised beef short ribs, beef noodle soup.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and oak vats with malolactic fermentation; aged ~12 months in French oak (≈40% new).

Château Cantemerle is a historic Haut‑Médoc estate (≈90 ha) ranked a Cinquième Cru (1855). Restored under SMABTP ownership, it produces classic Left‑Bank Bordeaux blends.
