Tasting Note
Ripe cassis, blackberry and blackcurrant with cedar, tobacco, graphite and subtle forest-floor notes; silky, viscous texture, ripe tannins and a long polished finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, braised beef, grilled ribeye, venison, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean barbecue, soy-braised beef short ribs, mushroom and black‑bean stir‑fries.

Production Method
Fermented in stainless-steel/wood vats with extended maceration; blended and aged approximately 15–20 months in oak barrels (second‑wine barrels following Lafite’s grand vin programme) before bottling.

Carruades de Lafite is the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild, produced from younger/selected plots on the Carruades plateau to reflect Lafite style; established as the estate's second label in the 19th–20th centuries.
