Tasting Note
Refined Pauillac: blackcurrant, dark plum, cedar, graphite and mint with medium body, fine ripe tannins, bright acidity and a chalky, lingering finish.
Food Pairing
Roast lamb, beef, venison, aged hard cheeses; Western-style steak, mushroom risotto; Asian: char siu, Peking duck, beef bulgogi, Cantonese roast meats, umami-rich hot pot.
Production Method
Fermented in parcel-controlled vats; aged ~18–20 months in French oak (c.10% new). Typical second‑wine selection from Lafite parcels.
Vineyard Info
Carruades de Lafite is the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild (Pauillac First Growth); offers Lafite’s signature finesse and is produced from younger vines/selected parcels.
