Tasting Note
Cassis and black cherry with violet and pencil-lead notes; tobacco, cedar and crushed-stone minerality. Elegant, medium‑full palate with fine, powdery tannins, bright freshness and a long, mineral finish.

Food Pairing
Roast lamb, beef Wellington, grilled ribeye, duck confit; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ beef, braised beef short ribs.

Production Method
Hand-harvested; alcoholic fermentation in wood, concrete and stainless vats with gentle pump-overs; ~20-day maceration, malolactic fermentation, then ~16 months in French oak barrels.

Carruades de Lafite is the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild, named for the Carruades plateau (acquired 1845). Produced from specific Pauillac plots under winemaker Eric Kohler.
