Tasting Note
Medium-bodied Pauillac showing cassis, wild blueberry, plum, cedar pencil, violet and baking-spice notes; refined, fine-grained tannins, bright freshness and a long allspice-tinged finish.
Food Pairing
Roast lamb, beef ribeye, aged hard cheeses; Peking duck, char siu (BBQ pork), Korean barbecue, shiitake and miso-glazed dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested (19 Sept–7 Oct). Fermented in wooden, cement and steel vats with ~20-day maceration; malolactic fermentation; aged 16–20 months in French oak (≈80% in barrel, ~10% new oak).

Second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild, sourced from the Carruades plateau adjacent to the château. Carruades has been produced as Lafite’s second label since the 20th century and refined in modern era (name in current use since 1980s).
