Tasting Note

Aromas of rose, cherry, strawberry and pomegranate with spice, tobacco and licorice. Palate is full-bodied, mineral-driven with polished yet firm tannins, menthol and tar notes, and a long, elegant finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roasted beef, braised short ribs, venison, mushroom ragu, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, beef bulgogi or Korean BBQ, char siu, miso-braised dishes, soy-glazed lamb.


Production Method

Native-yeast fermentation in stainless steel, long maceration (c.20–25 days), malolactic in French oak, aged ~3 years in large oak casks and some barriques, plus bottle ageing before release.


Vineyard Info

Monopole Bricco Rocche (Ceretto family) in Castiglione Falletto; Diano sandstone soils, 350–370m altitude. Single-vineyard bottling since 1982. Ceretto family producer established 1937.
