Tasting Note
Perfumed Nebbiolo: violets and roses over red and dark cherries, licorice, menthol and savory herb notes. Elegant, focused palate with ripe red fruit, refined noble tannins and a long, spicy, mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Western: braised beef, lamb chops, venison, aged cheeses, mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, beef rendang, soy‑braised short ribs, shiitake and miso dishes, char siu pork.
Production Method
Single‑vineyard Nebbiolo fermented with temperature control, malolactic induced, aged first in 300L oak barrels then larger casks; bottled predominantly in magnum and released after ~10 years cellar ageing.
Vineyard Info
Ceretto, family estate in Alba (founded early 20th century), bought the 0.25 ha Cannubi San Lorenzo parcel in 2002. Produces tiny magnum‑only bottlings (≈500–600 magnums) as a single‑vineyard Barolo.
