Tasting Note

Deep ruby with concentrated black cherry, plum, blackcurrant, violet and forest-floor notes; firm, structured tannins with tobacco, earthy and mineral accents and long, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast beef, lamb, venison, mushroom ragu, aged Comté or Camembert. Asian: Peking duck, Cantonese roast pork (char siu), braised beef with soy and star anise, earthy mushroom ramen.


Production Method

Whole‑bunch (partial) fermentation, traditional Burgundian vinification; matured 16–18 months in French oak (high proportion new oak for Vieilles Vignes).

Château de La Tour is the largest single owner inside the walls of Clos Vougeot (~5.5 ha, ~11% of the clos). Family-owned (Labet/Déchelette); best parcels include century‑old vines planted ~1910 producing Vieilles Vignes cuvées.
