Perfumed violets and red cherry with black plum, pepper, clove and exotic spice; silky, concentrated palate with fine, savory tannins and a long, mineral-tinged finish.

Production Method

Hand-harvested fruit; ~5% Viognier co‑fermented with Shiraz, ~23% whole-bunch fermentation, matured ~12 months in French oak (mix of new and used).

Clonakilla, founded by Dr John Kirk in 1971 at Murrumbateman; Tim Kirk (winemaker) modernized the estate and established Shiraz Viognier as its flagship wine.
