Tasting Note

Dense black- and blue-fruit core (blackberry, plum, fig) with spice, clove and dark chocolate notes. Silky, creamy tannins, integrated oak, tobacco and mineral undertones; powerful, concentrated and very long on the finish.


Food Pairing

Rack of lamb, braised short ribs, roast duck with plum sauce, aged hard cheeses, dark chocolate; Asian pairings: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu pork, rich Sichuan beef dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; indigenous-yeast fermentation with 4–5 week maceration, manual punch-downs; malolactic in new French oak; aged 24 months in French barrels (≈90% new). Biodynamic viticulture practiced.

Produced by Casa Lapostolle (Clos Apalta estate) in Apalta. Noted for century-old vines, high-density plantings and biodynamic certification; flagship Chilean estate founded by the Marnier-Lapostolle family.
