Tasting Note
Perfumed red and black cherry, raspberry, rose and violet, with loamy earth, crushed stone, black pepper and clove. Medium-bodied, focused, fine firm tannins, bright acidity and a long, saline-mineral finish.

Western: roast duck, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, herb-crusted lamb. Asian: Peking duck, char siu pork, braised pork belly, teriyaki- or miso-glazed salmon, umami mushroom stir-fries.

Organic/biodynamic farming; hand-harvested; 100% destemmed; native-yeast fermentation; gentle extraction; aged ~16–18 months in French oak (≈20–25% new).

Domaine Marquis (d') Angerville dates to 1507; family ownership since 1804. Taillepieds parcel is ~1.07 ha on upper slope; very limited production from old vines; estate renowned for refined Volnay premiers crus.
