Tasting Note
Concentrated red and black cherry, macerated strawberry, blackberry, violet and graphite with subtle toasty oak; muscular yet elegant, firm ripe tannins, saline minerality and a long savory finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, duck confit, roast lamb, beef carpaccio, mushroom risotto, charcuterie. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean bulgogi, miso‑glazed salmon, shiitake soy braised dishes.

Production Method
Organic/biodynamic viticulture; 2021 saw ~10% whole‑cluster fermentation, cold pre‑fermentation maceration and ~20% new French oak, aged roughly 16 months.

Domaine de la Vougeraie (founded 1999 by the Boisset family) farms organically/biodynamically across the Côte d'Or; the Mazoyères parcel includes very old vines (early 1900s).
