Tasting Note
Aromas of black cherry, plum and blackberry with floral lilac and spice; sandalwood/new-oak notes, iron-mineral undertow. Velvety entry, silky yet muscular tannins and a long, savory finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, lamb, braised beef short ribs, mushroom risotto, aged Comté/soft cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso-glazed salmon, soy/miso-braised pork, shiitake and dashi mushroom dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested grapes; five-day cold soak then ~70% whole-cluster fermentation; gentle pump-overs (no pigeage); ~18 months in French oak (≈35% new); biodynamic viticulture.

Domaine de la Vougeraie (founded 1999, Boisset family) farms biodynamically across ~40–45 ha, owning parcels in premier and grand cru sites including two Clos de Vougeot parcels.
