Tasting Note
Medium-bodied Pinot Noir: dark red/black berries, damson, black pepper and brown spice, subtle Earl Grey tea and earthy/mineral notes, velvety tannins and a silky, lingering spiced finish.

Roasted duck, beef bourguignon, lamb, mushroom risotto; Asian: Peking duck, miso-glazed salmon, char siu pork, mushroom stir-fry, Korean bulgogi.

Production Method
Organic/biodynamic viticulture; c.20% whole-cluster (whole-bunch) inclusion; fermented gently and aged in French oak with roughly 20% new barrels to preserve terroir expression.

Monopole 'Clos de Thorey' in Nuits-Saint-Georges (~3 ha); mix of ~50-year-old vines and younger plantings (c.2012); gravelly, well-draining soils on part of the clos. Domaine de la Vougeraie founded 1999; estate-wide organic/biodynamic practice.
