Tasting Note
Fresh, concentrated Chardonnay: passion fruit, apricot, lemon, hawthorn florals, crushed stone and roasted almond. Firm citrus acidity, leesy texture and precise minerality lead to a long, subtly spiced finish.
Food Pairing
Grilled lobster, shellfish, seafood risotto, roasted/poached chicken; sashimi/sushi, miso-glazed fish, tempura, Cantonese-style steamed crab.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; pneumatic pressing; alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in oak; aged c.16–18 months in oak (about 25% new); lees ageing and light filtration.
Vineyard Info
Domaine Leflaive, Puligny-Montrachet — family domaine dating to 1717. Converted to biodynamic viticulture in 1997; one of Puligny’s leading producers with significant Grand Cru holdings.
