Awards/Ratings
retail and trade listings describe classic Morey fruit/intensity and 5–10 years bottle potential
Tasting Note
Bright red and black cherry, raspberry and violet with subtle forest-floor, licorice and spice. Medium-bodied, fresh acidity and silky tannins lead to an elegant, persistent finish (red-fruit core with mineral lift).
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, pigeon, pork tenderloin, grilled beef, mushroom risotto, aged cow’s-milk cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso-glazed salmon, teriyaki chicken, Korean bulgogi, mushroom-based ramen.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; destemmed and fermented in vats; malolactic in barrels; aged ~15–18 months in one- to three-year-old oak.
Vineyard Info
Domaine Marchand Frères is a multi-generational family estate (managed by Denis Marchand) with holdings in Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle and Gevrey-Chambertin; practices regenerative viticulture and low-yield old-vine selection.
