Awards/Ratings
Leroy bottlings typically earn high critic scores across vintages (see Wine Advocate/RP reviews for other Les Charmes vintages)
Tasting Note
Silky, perfumed red-fruit core (cherry, raspberry), floral violet, subtle spice and forest-floor minerality; fine silky tannins, bright acidity and a long, energetic finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, rack of lamb, mushroom risotto, beef tartare, soft cheeses (Brillat-Savarin). Asian: Peking duck, miso-glazed black cod, soy-ginger grilled salmon, char siu, umami mushroom ramen.
Production Method
Biodynamic viticulture, hand-harvested fruit; indigenous-yeast fermentation in wooden/open vats, élevage in new and used French oak, gravity transfers, minimal intervention and low yields.
Vineyard Info
Owned and run by Lalou Bize‑Leroy; Domaine Leroy converted to biodynamics in 1988 and works tiny, high-quality parcels and extremely low yields, producing very limited quantities.
