Tasting Note
Perfumed, floral Pinot Noir: black cherry, raspberry, violets, spice and forest-floor notes; silky concentrated fruit, mineral backbone and a long savory, slightly spicy finish. Approachable now but built for further cellaring.
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, lamb, roasted or braised beef, mushroom risotto, game birds, aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso‑glazed black cod, soy-braised short ribs, shiitake mushroom hot pot.
Production Method
Biodynamic viticulture, hand-harvested, very low yields; spontaneous fermentations with some whole-cluster, aged in French oak (significant new oak), minimal intervention and little/ no filtration.
Vineyard Info
Domaine Leroy (Lalou Bize-Leroy) founded from historic Leroy holdings and expanded in 1988; a pioneer of biodynamics, producing tiny quantities from premier and grand cru Vosne parcels including Romanée‑Saint‑Vivant.
