Tasting Note
Intensely perfumed red and black fruits (plum, mulberry), rose and violet, Asian spice, forest-floor earth and truffle; fine new-oak spice, silky yet powerful tannins, lively acidity and a long resonant finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, lamb, venison, beef Wellington, aged Comté or Époisses cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, soy-braised short ribs, miso-glazed mushrooms or salmon, mushroom hot-pot.
Production Method
Hand-harvested Pinot Noir from DRC’s La Tâche monopole; 2021 used high whole-cluster inclusion, traditional Burgundian vinification and élevage in new French oak barrels (~18–20 months) before bottling.
Vineyard Info
La Tâche is a DRC (Domaine de la Romanée‑Conti) Grand Cru monopole in Vosne‑Romée; historic, biodynamic practices, very low yields and globally collectible wines.
