Tasting Note
Mixed case of 2021 Bordeaux first-growths: refined dark-fruit (cassis, black cherry), cedar, graphite, tobacco, firm ripe tannins and fresh acidity; Château d'Yquem adds honeyed apricot, orange marmalade and botrytis sweetness.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, beef ribeye, duck confit, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, Cantonese char siu (roast pork), Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), rich braised beef (Chinese or Korean).

Production Method
Traditional Bordeaux vinification: destemming, fermentation in stainless-steel or oak vats, malolactic fermentation and ageing in French oak barrels (often partly new). Sauternes follows botrytised harvest and extended élevage.

Duclot is a historic Bordeaux négociant and curator of prestige cases, established 1886. The 2021 Duclot Collection contains one bottle each of Château d'Yquem, Château Haut-Brion, Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Margaux, Château Ausone, Château Cheval Blanc and Petrus.
