Tasting Note
Deep black-fruit core of plum, cassis and blackberry with violet florals, truffle, licorice and dark chocolate. Plush, dense and silky with fine ripe tannins, mineral lift and a very long, saline finish.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, aged Comté or Manchego. Asian: Peking duck, char siu pork, red-braised beef, mushroom stir-fries with soy/hoisin.
Production Method
100% Merlot, hand-harvested (Sept 16, 2020). Fermented and matured in 100% new French oak barriques; estimated 16–18 months élevage.
Vineyard Info
Single 1-hectare parcel on the Pomerol plateau across from Château Clinet, purchased by Peter Kwok (Vignobles K) in 2012. Very small production, classic Pomerol clay soils.
