Tasting Note
Concentrated black fruits, black pepper, violets, smoked meat, truffle and Asian spice (soy/hoisin). Silky yet muscular tannins with a long, savory finish.

Production Method
Hand-harvested Syrah; native-yeast fermentation in concrete/enamel vats, gentle extraction, aged in old oak casks (demi-muids/large barrels). Bottled unfined/unfiltered in many releases.

Château de Fonsalette (owned/managed by the Reynaud family of Château Rayas). Estate near Lagarde-Paréol produces a blanc, a rouge and a 100% Syrah cuvée noted for Rhône character and quality.
