Tasting Note

Concentrated cassis and blackberry with graphite, cedar, tobacco and licoricelike spice; minty lift, plush texture, firm ripe tannins and a long, mineral finish.


Food Pairing

Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, beef stew, aged cheddar; Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi/grilled beef), char siu, rich Sichuan braised beef.


Production Method

Traditional Bordeaux vinification: parcel fermentation (stainless steel), extended maceration and maturation in oak barrels with regular rackings; fined with egg whites.

Château Latour (1er Cru Classé, Pauillac) — historic First Growth estate owned by François Pinault; Les Forts de Latour is its second wine, produced from selected parcels.
