Tasting Note
Concentrated cassis, blackberry, graphite and pencil-shaving aromas with tobacco, violet and crushed stone. Medium-full body, refined ripe tannins, bright acidity and a long mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled or braised beef, venison, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), char siu, Peking duck, soy-braised beef, Sichuan-style beef dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested grapes vinified with same care as the Grand Vin; matured in French oak (50–60% new) and blended from Enclos-edge and selected Pauillac parcels.
Vineyard Info
Château Latour is a 1855 First Growth in Pauillac. Les Forts de Latour, introduced in 1966, is the estate's second wine, made from younger/enclos-edge vines and select outlying Pauillac plots.
