Tasting Note
Concentrated black and blue fruit, leather, licorice, espresso and graphite with exotic spice and a smoky mineral thread. Dense, powerful and structured, with ripe plush tannins and a very long, savory finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast leg of lamb, braised beef, venison, steak, aged hard cheeses (Comté, aged Cheddar). Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, Peking duck, spicy Sichuan beef or hoisin-glazed dishes.

Production Method
100% Syrah from steep Hermitage parcels; ~4-week maceration, fermented (stainless/neutral), then aged about 40 months in new French oak; bottled unfined and unfiltered.

E. Guigal’s top Hermitage cuvée from old vines (≈50–90 yrs) in Les Bessards, Les Greffieux, L'Hermite and Les Murets. Ex-Voto launched after Guigal’s early-2000s vineyard purchases as a release only in exceptional years.
