Tasting Note

Deep black-fruit core of cassis and blackberry with scented tobacco, cocoa, licorice and smoky mineral notes; elegant, polished tannins and a long, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, ribeye, duck confit, charcuterie and aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), mushroom hot pot, Cantonese roasted meats.


Production Method

Traditional fermentation with malolactic conversion; matured c.72% in new French oak barrels and bottled June 12–14, 2013.
