Tasting Note
Dark crimson with violet hues; aromas of raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, violets, anise and cedar. Palate of Satsuma plum, mulberry, sage and savoury spice, bright acidity and fine-grained tannins with a long fruit-driven finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast or braised lamb, beef short ribs, confit duck, game (venison). Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, Sichuan pepper beef, Malaysian rendang.

Production Method
Single-vineyard, old-vine Shiraz; grapes managed with organic/biodynamic practices. Matured 18 months in oak hogsheads (21% new, 79% seasoned; 65% French, 35% American).

Vineyard Info
Henschke family estate (est.1868). The Wheelwright vineyard planted 1968 near the village of Eden Valley at about 470m; wine created as a single-vineyard tribute to the founder.
