Tasting Note
Perfumed Musigny: red and black cherry, raspberry, rose and violet florals with star‑anise, vanilla spice, forest‑floor and iron minerality. Silky, sappy core, fine‑grained tannins, bright acidity and a very long, poised finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, duck à l'orange, lamb, mushroom risotto, beef Wellington. Asian: Peking/Cantonese roast duck, miso‑glazed black cod, soy‑ginger seared duck, char siu, mushroom ramen.
Production Method
100% Pinot Noir; hand‑harvested, fully de‑stemmed, native‑yeast fermentation in open vats; ~18 months in French oak with low new oak (~15%); bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Vineyard Info
Family domaine founded 1863; Frédéric (Jacques‑Frédéric) Mugnier modernized the estate from 1985, holding ~1.1 ha in Musigny and producing small, highly allocated Grand Cru bottlings focused on terroir expression.
