Awards/Ratings
Highly regarded by critics and merchants (mid–high 90s for comparable vintages). Jasper Morris/Inside Burgundy: 95–98 (Bâtard‑Montrachet commentary); Vivino average ~4. 6/5; strong auction/merchant scores and high market prices
Tasting Note
Rich, powerful Grand Cru Chardonnay—white flowers, pear, honey and toasted almond with pronounced limestone minerality, creamy texture and toasted-oak spice. Very long, saline, citrus-tinged finish.
Food Pairing
Western: lobster, turbot, roast chicken, veal sweetbreads with morels, aged Comté; Asian: sashimi/sushi, miso‑glazed sea bass, tempura prawns, Cantonese steamed fish.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; pneumatic press; slow barrel fermentation and élevage on fine lees for ~18 months (≈20% new French oak), then 6 months in stainless steel; light fining and filtration before bottling.
