Tasting Note

Bright golden. Nose of candy apple, hazelnut powder, bitter orange and dates. Palate shows almond powder, toasted brioche, praline and lemon zest with an airy yet concentrated texture and a redcurrant finish.

Western: veal filet mignon, osso bucco, turbot or seabass with fennel, lobster or scallops, foie gras, roasted duck. Asian: Peking duck, sashimi/sushi, grilled calamari/seafood with chili-lime, spicy Thai prawn dishes, savory Chinese-style mushrooms.

Single‑vineyard (0.68 ha) 100% Pinot Noir; traditional méthode champenoise with extended lees aging (well over a decade); bottled without fining or filtration.

Clos d’Ambonnay is a tiny 0.68 ha walled Grand Cru parcel in Ambonnay purchased by Krug in 1994; first cuvée made from 1995 harvest. Maison Krug is a historic Champagne house founded by Joseph Krug.
