Tasting Note
Ripe black cherry, plum and blackberry with sweet spice, anise and leather, plus vanilla and violet hints. Full-bodied, silky ripe tannins, bright acidity and a long, savory finish.

Food Pairing
Rack of lamb, roast beef, wild boar casserole, duck with pepper sauce; Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Cantonese char siu, Sichuan beef or spiced lamb.

Production Method
Estate-grown, hand-harvested; traditional fermentation and ~12 months in ~80% new French oak barrels. Certified organic viticulture since 1998.

Château La Nerthe is one of Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape’s oldest estates (records from 1560). Cuvée des Cadettes comes from very old vines (avg ~85 years) and is produced only in top vintages.
