Tasting Note
Perfumed violets, ripe plum and blackberry with licorice, truffle and spice. Silky, opulent texture, plush dark-fruit core, fine velvety tannins and a long, mineral-tinged finish.
Food Pairing
Roast lamb, beef ribeye, duck à l'orange, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses; Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ, char siu, stir-fried shiitake and soy-glazed dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, intensive sorting, cold maceration (~20 days), fermented and aged in 100% new French oak (12–18 months). Malolactic in barrel; micro-vinification and low yields.
Vineyard Info
Tiny, high-density Pomerol estate (circa 1.6 ha) owned by Vignobles Péré-Vergé; replanted to 100% Merlot, managed by Henri Parent. Very low yields; tiny production (~250–400 cases).
