Multiple 100-point scores (Wine Advocate/Lisa Perrotti‑Brown, Jane Anson/InsideBordeaux, James Suckling); Vinous (Neal Martin) ~96+; broadly praised as a top 2015 Pomerol
Tasting Note
Complex layers of black cherry, plum, violets, truffle, dark chocolate and graphite. Silky, deeply textured fruit with saline minerality, spice and velvety yet firm tannins; long, elegant finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, beef short ribs, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu or hoisin-glazed pork, Korean BBQ beef, miso eggplant, shiitake-based dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, short cuvaison (12–15 days), fermented in small temperature-controlled vats, matured ~18 months in oak (≈20% new), minimal intervention to preserve purity and texture.
Vineyard Info
Family-owned Château Lafleur (Guinaudeau family), tiny 4.5 ha estate adjacent to Pétrus; long history of vineyard-focused, low-yield farming and artisanal winemaking under Baptiste Guinaudeau.
