Tasting Note

Full-bodied, concentrated Pauillac with blackcurrant, plum, cedar, cigar box, leather and earthy/cedary tertiary notes; mature dried fig, soy and roasted-vegetable nuances with long, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Roasted or grilled beef, lamb, game (venison), aged hard cheeses; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, braised beef short ribs (soy-based), Korean bulgogi or galbi.


Production Method

Fermented in stainless steel or concrete vats, malolactic fermentation completed, aged in new and used French oak barrels with regular racking; traditionally bottled unfiltered.

Château Latour, a First Growth in Pauillac (c. 14th century origins), ~65ha estate now owned by François Pinault; famed for long-lived, powerful Cabernet-based wines.
