Tasting Note

Dense cassis and blackberry, cedar and graphite, with eucalyptus, tobacco and subtle vanilla from oak. Medium-full body, firm polished tannins and a long, mineral finish—ripe now but will benefit from further aging.

Roast lamb, ribeye or beef dishes, venison, beef Bourguignon; Asian: Peking duck, Cantonese roast pork (char siu), Korean BBQ (galbi/bulgogi), Sichuan beef.


Production Method

Traditional Bordeaux vinification: destemmed grapes, stainless-steel fermentation, malolactic fermentation and ~16–20 months in French oak (c.80% new).

Château Léoville-Poyferré, a historic 2ème Cru Classé in Saint-Julien (c.80ha), long managed by the Cuvelier family; noted Left Bank producer with classic Medoc terroir.
