Tasting Note
Concentrated red and black cherry, cassis, violets, orange rind, dark chocolate and espresso with sweet spice. Satiny texture, silken tannins and bright acidity delivering a long, mineral, finely oaked finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, beef bourguignon, mushroom risotto, truffle pasta, roast game birds. Asian: Peking duck, hoisin or soy‑glazed pork, miso‑glazed salmon, shiitake mushroom stir‑fries, soy‑braised short ribs.

Production Method
Hand-harvested; biodynamic viticulture; short maceration with partial whole clusters; fermented in small vats and aged in mostly new French oak barriques.

La Romanée is the Domaine du Comte Liger‑Belair monopole (≈0.845 ha) beside Romanée‑Conti; extremely low production (~300 cases). Louis‑Michel Liger‑Belair reclaimed and revived family holdings in the 2000s.
