Tasting Note

Ethereal florals (rose, peony) with ripe red cherry and raspberry, sweet spice, wet stone minerality, silky texture, fine-grained tannins and a vertical, mineral-driven, very long finish.


Food Pairing

Roasted or seared duck (Western) and Peking duck (Asian), quail with morels, mushroom or truffle risotto, beef carpaccio, miso‑glazed black cod, soy‑ginger salmon, aged cheeses.


Production Method

Biodynamic/organic viticulture, hand-harvested, 100% destemmed, spontaneous fermentation, 15 months élevage in 70% new oak barrels, bottled unfiltered and unfined.

La Romanée is the Comte Liger-Belair monopole (≈0.845 ha). Louis‑Michel Liger‑Belair rebuilt the family domaine; production is tiny and highly allocated with traditional, terroir-driven practices.
