Tasting Note
Spicy, perfumed nose of black cherry, red currant, violets, Asian tea, anise and sandalwood. Silky, medium-full palate with concentrated red and dark fruit, refined tannins, sweet spice and subtle earth, finishing long and complex.

Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, confit, beef bourguignon, mushroom risotto, grilled lamb, soft cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, miso-glazed salmon, braised short ribs, shiitake/soy dishes.

Production Method
Biodynamic viticulture (Ecocert). Partially destemmed, indigenous-yeast fermentation (~10 days), aged in new oak barrels then blended to tank; minimal intervention, no fining or filtration.

Vineyard Info
Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair owns a tiny 0.1175 ha Les Chaumes parcel planted in 1949. Very low yields (≈2 barrels, ~600 bottles). The domaine is family-owned with historic Vosne holdings and practices biodynamics.
