Concentrated dark cherry and blackberry with lavender, forest‑floor, anise and savory tea; powdery tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, spice‑driven finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast duck, lamb, mushroom risotto, aged cheddar, porcini‑risotto. Asian: miso‑glazed black cod, char siu (pork belly), Korean bulgogi, shiitake ramen.


Production Method

Hand‑harvested; native‑yeast fermentations with ~25–40% whole‑cluster; 14–16 months in French oak (≈20–25% new); minimal fining/filtration.

Wendling Block E (planted 2010) is a steep, south‑facing parcel on Bearwallow‑Wolfey soils, farmed organically/biodynamically by Paul Ardzooni with Ted Lemon sourcing/winemaking.
