Tasting Note

Bright golden color with fine, persistent mousse. Aromas of candied lemon, brioche, toasted hazelnut, chalk and iodine. Rich, creamy palate of stone fruit, citrus, toasted almond and honey, finishing long, mineral and chalky.


Food Pairing

Oysters, lobster, roast chicken, truffle pasta, foie gras; Asian: sushi/sashimi, tempura, Peking duck, Cantonese roasted pork.


Production Method

Blend (c.58% Pinot Noir / 42% Chardonnay). ~24% vinified in oak; no malolactic fermentation. Aged long on lees (≈8 years sur lattes + ≈8 years sur pointes), late disgorgement; dosage ≈6 g/L.


Vineyard Info

Maison Louis Roederer (founded 1776). Cristal created in 1876; sourced from Grand Cru holdings in Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. Vinothèque is a limited, cellar-aged prestige release.
