Awards/Ratings

Merchant/auction listings describe the 1983 Maison Leroy Savigny‑lès‑Beaune as a late release and 'ready/mature'

Tasting Note

Evolved Pinot Noir: dried cherry, raspberry, leather, forest‑floor/sous‑bois, light spice and licorice. Silky, mature texture with gentle acidity and soft tannins.

Food Pairing

Western: roast duck, beef bourguignon, mushroom risotto, lamb, charcuterie. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (Cantonese BBQ pork), miso‑glazed salmon, mushroom hotpot, teriyaki beef.

Production Method

Traditional Burgundian vinification of hand‑harvested Pinot Noir, fermented in stainless/wood, aged in oak barrels; released as a négociant/late‑release bottling. Domaine Leroy practices biodynamics (house selection).
