Tasting Note

Perfumed cassis, crushed violets and kirsch with black fruit, cedar, graphite and subtle tobacco; silky, silt-fine tannins, bright acidity and an ethereal, very long floral finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, beef short ribs, venison, aged cheeses (Comté, Manchego). Asian: Peking duck, Cantonese roast pork (char siu), soy-braised beef, mushroom hot pot or Korean BBQ short ribs.


Production Method

Hand-harvested with parcel selection; fermented in oak and stainless-steel vats and aged 18–24 months in new French oak barrels.


Vineyard Info

Château Margaux, a Premier Grand Cru Classé estate (1855), owned by the Mentzelopoulos family since 1977; estate planted predominantly to Cabernet Sauvignon on gravelly soils.
