Tasting Note
Bright blue/black fruits (blackberry, black cherry), violet and crushed stone, sandalwood and sweet spice. Polished, creamy tannins with lively acidity and a long mineral finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, mushroom risotto, aged Pecorino/Parmesan. Asian: Peking duck, Korean bulgogi, char siu or miso‑glazed beef, rich teriyaki dishes.

Production Method
Parcel vinified in concrete with indigenous yeasts; maceration ~3+ weeks; malolactic in French barriques (≈50% new); ~12 months in oak then 3 months in concrete before bottling.

Second wine of Masseto (Tenuta Masseto / Tenuta dell'Ornellaia). Estate planted on blue clay; renowned Merlot specialist. Massetino introduced from the 2017 harvest as a limited-production cuvée.
