Tasting Note
Concentrated dark berry and plum fruit with violet, graphite, dark chocolate, and Mediterranean herb notes. Silky, mineral-driven texture with polished tannins, bright acid and a long spice-tinged finish.

Food Pairing
Roast lamb, beef short ribs, venison, mushroom risotto, aged Pecorino or Parmigiano; Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), soy-braised beef, umami-rich Chinese or Japanese mushroom dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested grapes, parcel vinification with indigenous yeasts; 21–25 day fermentations, malolactic in oak; aged ~24 months in new French oak before bottling.

Single-vineyard 'Masseto' on blue/grey clay hill, planted mid-1980s; historically part of Ornellaia, produced under Masseto estate (Ornellaia/Frescobaldi). Dedicated Masseto winery opened 2019.
