Awards/Ratings

Highly lauded by critics — Robert Parker: 98 pts (Bordeaux Book, 1998); widely praised in Vinous/merchant reviews (scores reported in the high 90s); frequently offered and highly valued at major auctions (Christie’s, Zachys)

Tasting Note

Opulent, mature Pauillac: cassis, black cherry, espresso, cedar, leather and dried fig with sweet spice. Silky, softened tannins, bright persistent acidity and an exotic, very long finish.

Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, beef rib, venison, mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, soy-braised beef, Korean BBQ (galbi), rich Cantonese braises.

Production Method

Traditional Bordeaux vinification: fermented in vats, blended and aged in French oak barrels, then long bottle aging; often recorked for preservation on older bottles.
