Tasting Note

Silky medium-bodied Pinot with red and black cherry, cranberry, forest floor and spice; floral lift and fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and a long, savory finish.

Roast duck, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, pork loin, charcuterie; Asian: miso-glazed salmon, teriyaki chicken, pork belly, shiitake ramen, mildly spiced Thai or Cantonese dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested biodynamic fruit, native yeast fermentation with brief cold soak, aged ~15 months in French oak (portion new), bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Domaine Nicolas-Jay (Jean-Nicolas Méo & Jay Boberg) sources fruit from the biodynamically farmed Momtazi Vineyard (McMinnville), a high-elevation, wind-cooled site planted in the late 1990s.
